As music and visual art lovers, we are thrilled to share with you the incredible artwork behind Magnum Dopus 1 & Magnum Dopus 2 (Remixes), by SPRLUA.
Featuring reworked versions of tracks from the original Magnum Dopus album, Magnum Dopus 2 (Remixes) was created by a diverse group of collaborators from cities all over the world, including Johannesburg, Montréal, Rome, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, Veracruz, and Winnipeg.
Each artist brought their unique flair to the project, resulting in a fresh, distinct sound that celebrates both craft, community, and individuality.
What makes this project even more special is the collaborative effort behind it. We had the pleasure of working with Kazuya Ito as Toi Whakairo, a designer and visual artist based in Vancouver whose skill and creativity truly brought our vision to life.
Through our collaboration, our working relationship was strengthened, resulting in a testament to the power of collaboration and the magic that can be created when diverse perspectives come together.
