Welcome to CONVERSAS — a FEZIHAUS™ initiative.!

From 2020 to 2024, FEZIHAUS collaborated with over 100 creatives through projects such as CONVERSAS, ASSEMBLAGE™ and SPRLUA. Grounded in music as a connective force, our work focuses on cultivating equitable creative networks rooted in shared exploration, fair ownership, and collective well-being.

As our community evolved, so did our perspective: representation alone does not dismantle systemic barriers. In 2024, we launched "Conversas: Who’s Missing In This Room?"—a public dialogue series examining resource disparities in the arts shaped by colonial legacies.

The initiative developed into a pilot podcast and video series between Montréal and Barcelona, in collaboration with Flumi, and supported by MUTEK and Xn Québec. Conversas also partnered with InterAccess Toronto’s Terra Firma symposium and co-presented four panels featuring 14 invited creatives.

With support from the Canada Council for the Arts’ Strategic Innovation Fund, dissemination of this work began in summer 2024 and continues through 2025—including an interactive workshop at Eastern Bloc’s Sight + Sound Festival.

Together, we seek to move beyond inclusion—toward structural transformation.
